Author, Lisa Cox is thrilled to share the healthy message of GRIT, Not Grits with the students, families and staff at Stonegate Elementary were she was a school guidance counselor for 14 years. The event showcases healthy living options and activities available for families in the greater Indianapolis area.
The book launch weekend continues downtown Septmeber 8, as the writing team offers a book-signing event hosted by Indy Reads Books, 911 Massachusetss Ave, Indianapolis offering similar festivities listed above at the Black Dog Books event. Indy Reads Books is a unique bookstore whose mission is to promote and improve the literacy of adults and families in Central Indiana. The GRIT, Not Grits team is honored to have an interactive station at the annual HAWK VIP Carnival hosted by the Zionsville Lions Club and The HAWK Foundation. This FREE EVENT is called the "VIP Carnival", and is for kids of all ages who have special needs, their families, and caregivers. These are our "Very Important People", and we hope you will be there!
The goal of this event is to provide families with members who have special needs a friendly environment where “kids can be kids” and enjoy the tradition of American carnivals. As mentioned, it is totally free, so come enjoy your night out!
